REZAEI Termeh (ترمه رضایی)is the most famous of producer with one century experience trying its best to recreate marvelous Termeh art. In Termeh weaving because of the difference between thickness of Warp and Woop & the opposite colors have brought natural uniformity. This diversity in weaving while passing one Woop over some Warp and under few adjacent Warp & Woop color in Termeh most especially the background color on diagonal lines which has a pure (unmixed) Warp color will really be attracted & admired this kind of Termeh's Art.

About Termeh

Weaving Termeh needs a good wool with tall fibers. Making of Iranian Termeh is the result of the co-operation between an expert and a worker called "Goushvareh-kesh". Weaving Termeh is a sensitive, careful and time consuming work that a goodweaver could produce only 25 to 30 centimeters in a day. The background colors which are used in Termeh are jujube red, light red, green, orange and black. The Greek Historians had admired variously the glory of Persian weaving art in Achaemenian (532 B.C.), Ashkani (222 B.C.) and Sasanidae (226-641 A.D.) periods. On behalf of Heredouts and Avesta writings had glorified Iranian Zarbaf (gold and silk weave) and Termeh. Also the famous Chinese Tourist Hoang Tesang was one of the admire of this Termeh.

After Islams arrival to Iran, the Persian weaving arts was greatly developed, especially Safavie period (1502-1736 A.D.), which reached to its peak of improvement these Zarbaf & Termeh weaving. Presently there are some magnificent samples attracting any eagers.
